The IAEA director said that this week the agency's inspectors temporarily suspended inspections of nuclear facilities in Iran due to rising tensions between Israel and Iran, but the suspension did not affect their inspection activities.

The IAEA director said that this week the agency's inspectors temporarily suspended inspections of nuclear facilities in Iran due to growing tensions between Israel and Iran.

This was reported by Voice of America, according to UNN.

I can say that the Iranian government informed our inspectors yesterday that all nuclear facilities that we inspect every day will be closed for security reasons

- said Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

According to him, although the facilities were supposed to resume inspections on Monday, he decided to postpone the return of inspectors for another day to make sure that the situation had fully stabilized.

"This has not affected our inspection activities, but we always call for maximum restraint," he added.
