A new Ipsos poll shows Kamala Harris with 42% of voter support to Donald Trump's 37%. In seven key states, Harris leads Trump by 42% to 40%.
Democratic candidate Kamala Harris has 42% of the support of voters, compared to 37% for Republican Donald Trump, according to an Ipsos poll released on Thursday. UNN reports this with reference to Reuters.

Harris has reportedly increased her lead over Trump since the July 22-23 Reuters/Ipsos poll, in which her advantage was 37% to 34%.
Harris leads Trump by 42% to 40% in the seven states where elections are most likely to be held in 2020: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. This result does not include data for individual states, Reuters noted .
The poll, conducted on August 2-7, involved 2045 American adults. It is reported that 4% of respondents supported independent candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. In July, he was supported by 10 %.
The margin of error of the online survey was about 3 percentage points.
It is noted that Reuters/Ipsos polls mostly showed Biden and Trump tied while the president was still in the race, although Biden performed worse than at the same point in the 2020 election, in which he defeated Trump.
