The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as reported, excluded intermediate links in document processing, including the army corps, operational command, branch, etc.
"Documents for appointment are now submitted directly from the military unit to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the report says.
These steps, as indicated, are designed to speed up the appointment of servicemen to positions, make the process of their transfer more transparent, and eliminate manipulations by individual officials regarding obstruction of such transfers.
"The introduced mechanism of appointment (transfer) does not change the conditions for returning to service after AWOL. At the same time, the implemented changes are aimed at reducing these cases, as the new mechanism offers a more democratic approach to the issue of transfer to the chosen military unit," the General Staff emphasized.
"Recommendation letters, which are now purely electronic, should not be a way to transfer from a combat brigade performing tasks in an active sector of the front to a military unit with more comfortable service conditions," the report states.
In addition, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as noted, "is taking measures to reduce paperwork regarding the processing of materials (orders, directives) concerning the movement of servicemen, in order to reduce the time for making personnel decisions."
