Enemy damaged the line supplying Zaporizhzhya NPP again - Ministry of Energy
Kyiv • UNN
The enemy shelling damaged a power line, which resulted in the shutdown of an additional power supply circuit at Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant.
For the second time in the last day, Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant remained on one power line. This was reported on Saturday by the press service of the Ministry of Energy, UNN reports.
Details
Last night, Russian shelling reportedly knocked out a 330 kV power line, which resulted in the shutdown of an additional power supply circuit for the plant.
As of this morning, the line has been restored. The power supply to ZNPP is carried out in full, the Ministry of Energy added.
Recall
On March 22, after a large-scale attack by the Russian Federation, the 750 kV line supplying ZNPP was cut off. The plant was a few hours away from blackoutbefore being restored, remaining on one power line.
According to the Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi, this case once again emphasizes the persistence of a dangerous situation for nuclear safety in times of war.
