Ukraine is limiting electricity consumption in Kharkiv and Dnipro regions, importing and exporting electricity to neighboring countries, and repairing the effects of enemy shelling of energy infrastructure.

Ukraine has restricted electricity consumption in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovs'k regions. At night, as a result of an enemy attack, equipment at a high-voltage substation in Dnipropetrovs'k region caught fire. Over the past day, Ukraine received and provided emergency assistance to neighboring countries, the Energy Ministry reported on Friday, UNN reports.

Generation, transmission and consumption

"Over the past day, due to network restrictions on the transmission system operator's lines, blackout schedules were applied in Kharkiv region. Today, restrictions are applied in Kharkiv region and for industry in Kryvyi Rih," the Ministry of Energy said.

During the day, due to the sunny weather and, accordingly, active electricity generation by solar power plants, the transmission system operator limited the generation of electricity from RES.

"Surplus electricity was also supplied to Poland. At the same time, electricity from neighboring countries was supplied during peak hours in the evening," the Energy Ministry said.

As of today, it is planned to import and export electricity.

According to the Ministry of Energy, Ukraine's energy system is stable and balanced.

Consequences of shelling

"At night, as a result of an enemy attack, equipment at a high-voltage substation in Dnipropetrovs'k region caught fire. Industrial consumers were cut off from power supply. In the morning, the consumers were partially powered," the ministry said.

As a result of the shelling, equipment on the gas distribution network in Mykolaiv was reportedly disabled. More than 30 customers were left without gas supply.

Overhead gas pipelines in Kharkiv district were damaged due to hostilities. Gas supply to 136 subscribers was cut off.

Situation at ZNPP

"The water level in the cooling pond has slightly decreased and is 15.48 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant," the Ministry of Energy said.
