Context

On Tuesday, March 31, Finnish border guards discovered an unmanned aerial vehicle on the ice of Lake Pyhäjärvi, located in the municipality of Parikkala, South Karelia, which borders Russia.

Police evacuated people from ten buildings near the drone crash site. A no-fly zone was established over the area.

Before that, on March 29, it was reported that two drones had crashed near the Finnish city of Kouvola after illegally crossing the border.
