Charitable Foundation “Mir” helps children and families during the war in Ukraine

The "MIR" Charity Foundation was founded in 2015 to support low-income families, children of soldiers who defended Ukraine during the ATO and the full-scale invasion, orphans and children with disabilities. The Foundation constantly supports orphanages and homes for people with disabilities.

The founder of the Foundation is Ukrainian philanthropist and businessman Volodymyr Galanternyk.

Over the years of its activity, the Foundation has held more than 100 charitable events in orphanages and homes for people with disabilities in Odesa. Every month, the organization provides material assistance to children, providing them with personal hygiene products, clothing, bedding and food.

Assistance during the war

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the "MIR" Foundation significantly expanded its activities, focusing on helping families with children who suffered from military actions. Volunteers and employees of the organization promptly collect necessary things for families from destroyed cities, provide support to displaced persons and facilitate the evacuation of children.

In particular, the fund organized the transfer of children from large families to Moldova, Poland and Slovakia, the supply of humanitarian aid to families affected by the terrorist attack on Bucha, the transit of children from Mariupol to safe regions, cooperation with centers for assistance to displaced persons in Odesa, as well as support for families affected by missile and drone attacks on residential buildings in Odesa.

In addition, the fund provides monthly assistance to single mothers raising children with autism, and also supports the families of journalists forced to leave Kherson, Mariupol, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv due to military operations.

Recognition and awards

For its charitable activities, the MYR Foundation has received a number of awards and distinctions. However, the greatest gratitude for the team remains the joy of the children they managed to help, and the opportunity to make their lives at least a little safer and more comfortable.

The Foundation continues to work, despite all the challenges, because it is sure: helping those who need it most is a contribution to the future of all of Ukraine.
