British Prime Minister Andy Burnham visited wounded Ukrainian defenders at a military hospital during his visit to Kyiv on August 24, Ukraine’s Independence Day. Burnham reported this on the social network X, UNN writes.

The British prime minister said that he met with Ukrainian servicemen receiving treatment at a military hospital with the support of a British charitable organization. According to him, the organization has, in particular, arranged training for more than 1,000 surgeons, anesthesiologists and other medical workers.

During his visit to the capital, Burnham also visited Lukianivka, which was damaged as a result of Russian shelling.
Bloomberg’s political editor published a photo of the British prime minister against the backdrop of damaged buildings, as well as footage showing Burnham playing a fragment of a song on an electric guitar together with a Ukrainian military musician.
During his visit to Ukraine, Burnham announced the transfer to Kyiv of Storm Shadow missile production technology. In addition, Britain and Ukraine signed a bilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.
