Bad weather flooded Bukovel and left part of the Kyiv region without power

A heavy downpour caused streets to flood in Bukovel in the Carpathian region. In the Kyiv region, power grids were damaged due to the bad weather, leaving more than 18,000 households without power.
Due to the bad weather, "rivers" have been reported on the streets of Bukovel in the Carpathian region, while more than 18,000 households in Kyiv region remain without power after the bad weather, local public channels and authorities reported, UNN writes.

Bukovel was "literally flooded" after a heavy downpour, local Telegram channels report.
The bad weather also affected other regions.
In particular, there are power outages in Kyiv region following the bad weather that hit the region’s settlements on August 7. Kyiv region is dealing with the aftermath, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported, noting that the Obukhiv district has so far suffered the greatest consequences from the bad weather.
In Kaharlyk, 62 residential buildings—13 apartment buildings and 49 private houses—as well as 3 administrative buildings and 4 cars were damaged. The effects of the bad weather were also recorded in the Boryspil, Brovary, and Bucha districts.
Strong winds damaged the roofs of buildings. Services are already working at the sites and removing hazardous structures, the regional military administration said.
The bad weather also caused trees to fall in other settlements across the region, including onto roadways. The consequences are reportedly being dealt with promptly.
According to DTEK Kyiv Regional Electric Networks, thunderstorms and heavy rain damaged the power grid. This led to emergency outages in the Boryspil, Bucha, Brovary, and Obukhiv districts.
Power supply has already been restored to more than 53,000 households. As of 10:00, more than 18,000 families remain without electricity
