More than 4.6 million IDPs are registered in Ukraine

As of May 2024, more than 4.6 million Ukrainians were registered as internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ukraine due to the ongoing war.
As of May 2024, more than 4.6 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) were registered in Ukraine. More than 6 million Ukrainians who fled the country are in Europe, and 4 million of them have been granted temporary protection. This was stated by Alla Fedorova, a member of the European Committee of Social Rights, during the High Level Conference on the European Social Charter in Vilnius, a correspondent of UNN reports.

She said that the war has become a social challenge in Ukraine, so the Council of Europe's 2022 project has prepared a report on existing needs.
Millions of new IDPs need social security. There was a huge need to provide them, and €0.5 billion was paid to IDPs during the first six months of the war. We ensured that international aid was distributed to the most vulnerable
