American philanthropists donate equipment to Askania-Nova community to help it recover from de-occupation

American philanthropists have donated a backhoe loader to the community of Askania Nova to help it recover from de-occupation.
The community of Askania-Nova received an excavator-loader for reconstruction from American benefactors. The gift was reported by the Kherson RMA , UNN reports.
The new backhoe loader with attachments will help restore the community's territory after de-occupation. Now the equipment will be used by employees of Askania-Nova to rebuild the Vysokopilska community.

It is noted that the equipment was provided to Kherson residents as part of the Decentralization Offering Better Results and Efficiency (DOBRE) initiative. This program is implemented by Global Communities and funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

"Askania Nova is the largest protected steppe in Europe, and it is still under occupation.
Because of the hostilities, missiles or their parts hitting the territory of the reserve, fires have repeatedly broken out, injuring animals. As a result, many plants listed in the Red Book of Ukraine have burned down. In addition, mines and unexploded ordnance remain unexploded on the territory of the reserve, which poses a particular danger to the residents of the nature reserve.
