69 attacks occurred on the front in a day - General Staff reported battles in eight directions

Since the beginning of the day on July 18, 69 Russian attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces have been recorded at the front. The Russians shelled the settlements of Tovstodubove, Sopych, Novovasylivka, Neskuchne, Khliborob, Bachivsk, Iskryskivshchyna, Korenyok, Bezsalivka, Luzhky, Yastrubshchyna, Malushyne in Sumy region, as well as the settlement of Khrynivka in Chernihiv region. This was reported by UNN with reference to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Details

In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, seven combat clashes with the enemy occurred, five of which are ongoing. The occupiers carried out 17 shellings of settlements and positions of Ukrainian troops.

In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, the invaders tried seven times to break through the defense towards Izbystske, Khatnie, and in the areas of Starytsia and Prylipky.

In the Kupiansk direction, no offensive actions by the enemy were recorded.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled six attempts by the invaders to advance in the area of Novoselivka and towards Lyman and Ozerne.

In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 20 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Minkivka, Riznykivka, and towards Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian invaders carried out six attacks in the area of Novomarkove.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, our defenders repelled 10 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and towards the settlement of Kucheriv Yar. Two combat clashes are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have tried nine times to push our soldiers from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Dorozhnie, Hryshyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and towards Kucheriv Yar.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy once tried to advance towards Vorone.

In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces repelled one enemy attack towards Hirke.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our defenders twice in the area of Shcherbaky and Plavni.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, no offensive actions by the enemy were recorded.

Fighters of the 425th separate assault regiment "Skelya" conducted a cleanup in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, and raised the Ukrainian flag.
