From April 8-21, the Romanian Navy is organizing a multinational exercise called Sea Shield 24, which will involve 12 allied and partner nations, including Bulgaria, France, Georgia, Greece, Italy, the United Kingdom, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Turkey, and the United States. It is noted that more than 2,200 military personnel and 135 technical means (27 sea and river vessels, 17 aircraft and 91 vehicles and boats) will train in the Black Sea, in the coastal zone, on the river and in the Danube Delta to perform tasks to combat illegal activities, The training will also include maritime and riverine operations, maritime and riverine control, search and rescue at sea, assistance to a ship in distress, and critical infrastructure security.
