Parts of four regions are without power due to enemy attacks, and in another four regions there are outages due to bad weather, with no schedules expected, the Energy Ministry reported on Wednesday, writes UNN.
Enemy attacks
"As a result of hostilities and shelling of energy facilities, some consumers in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv regions are temporarily without electricity," the Energy Ministry reported.
Energy workers are working to restore power to Ukrainian homes as quickly as possible. Restoration work continues around the clock.
Bad weather
"Due to bad weather, 31 settlements in Zakarpattia, Kyiv, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions remain without electricity," the statement said.
Repair crews are working on restoration.
Consumption
"No restrictions are forecast for today. Active energy consumption today should be shifted to daytime hours - from 10:00 to 16:00," the Energy Ministry indicated.
According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption is showing a downward trend. Today, July 29, as of 09:30, it was 11.1% lower than at the same time the previous day – Tuesday. The reason for the changes is clear weather across almost all of Ukraine. This leads to high efficiency of household solar power plants and a corresponding reduction in the volume of energy consumption from the general grid.
Yesterday, July 28, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 5.3% lower than the maximum of the previous day – Monday, July 27. The reason for the changes is the decrease in heat and the reduced need for widespread use of air conditioners.
