Zelenskyy: Ukraine is ready to supply food to Syria

Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Council of State on the situation in Syria after the fall of the Assad regime. Ukraine is ready to support the Syrian people with food and help stabilize the situation in the region.
Ukraine will definitely support the people of Syria in food security. All the necessary decisions have been made on the Ukrainian side, and Kyiv is ready to supply food. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following the results of the meeting, UNN reports.
"I held a meeting of the Security Council. We worked out in detail the work with Syria after Assad's fall and his escape. Today, the intelligence agencies - the Foreign Intelligence Service and the GUR - and the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported. We are determining our strategy and concrete steps. Ukraine is interested in stabilizing the situation in Syria and the region as a whole and will support the necessary efforts of its partners," Zelenskyy wrote.
He noted that Ukraine believes that it is essential for the security of the people of Syria and the region as a whole to remove any Russian presence from Syria.
"We are grateful to every country and every leader who is now ready to help Syrian society restore normal life and build effective state institutions. We will definitely support the people of Syria in food security. All the necessary decisions have been made on our part, and Ukraine is ready to supply food. We are ready to work with the representatives of the Syrian people to correct the mistakes of the Assad regime, in particular, with regard to Ukraine and the whole of Europe.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reportedthat Ukraine is working in detail on a proposal to support Syria's food security and help its people.
