"Real tools, no Russian ties, and independence of NABU and SAP": Zelenskyy approved a new bill, will submit it to the Verkhovna Rada today

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved a bill that guarantees the strengthening of the law enforcement system, the independence of anti-corruption bodies, and protection from Russian influence. The document will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he had approved the text of a new draft law to strengthen law enforcement and the independence of anti-corruption bodies, and to protect against Russian influence, writes UNN.
I have just approved the text of the draft law, which guarantees a real strengthening of the law enforcement system in Ukraine, the independence of anti-corruption bodies, as well as reliable protection of the law enforcement system from any Russian influence or interference. The text is balanced
The President emphasized that "the most important thing is real tools, no Russian ties, and the independence of NABU and SAPO."
"The draft law will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine today," the President stressed.
"It is important that we maintain unity. It is important that we maintain independence. It is important that we respect the position of all Ukrainians and are grateful to everyone who is with Ukraine," Zelenskyy noted.
Addition
On July 22, the Verkhovna Rada voted in the second reading for draft law No. 12414 "On Amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine regarding the peculiarities of pre-trial investigation of criminal offenses related to the disappearance of persons under special circumstances during martial law." The document was supported by 263 people's deputies. The document, in particular, amends the powers of NABU and SAPO.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed law No. 12414 on the same day, which regulates the activities of NABU and SAPO.
Later, Zelenskyy announced that he plans to submit a new draft law to the Verkhovna Rada, which will strengthen the law enforcement system, ensuring that "there will be no Russian influence or interference in the activities of law enforcement agencies, and – very importantly – all norms for the independence of anti-corruption institutions will be in place." This document will be a response to public demands and will take into account the proposals of law enforcement leaders.
