Repairs are underway around the clock on the stretch between Demiivska and Lybidska stations. A new 27-meter tunnel structure has been built, adjacent sections have been reinforced, and traffic is expected to resume in early fall.
In Kyiv, work is underway to repair the section between Demiivska and Lybidska stations. Currently, a new part of the tunnel is being constructed. This was stated by the mayor of the capital, Vitaliy Klitschko, UNN reports.

Klitschko emphasized that restoration work on the stretch between Demiivska and Lybidska stations is ongoing around the clock.
In particular, the specialists carried out all stabilization measures to strengthen the structures, chemical reinforcement of the soil and arranged water-reducing wells. In addition, they designed a pit with three levels of support.
Work is underway to strengthen the tunnel lining and waterproof the tunnel. The construction of a new part of the tunnel is at the final stage. We have already built 27 meters of a new rectangular structure. And the sections adjacent to it on both sides (total length of more than 50 meters) have been reinforced
According to him, the complete replacement of all communications is underway, and work is already underway to lay a new rail bed.
Klitschko noted that landscaping work has begun on the surface, above the tunnel.
Once the repairs are completed, test runs will be carried out before the full resumption of traffic. Specialists are doing everything to resume train traffic on the section in early fall
