US President Donald Trump said that Vice President J.D. Vance might not participate in negotiations on Iran due to security concerns, UNN reports with reference to AP.

In a brief interview with The New York Post, the US President stated that personal talks about a ceasefire in Iran would take place very soon, but apparently did not provide or confirm details about when and where this would happen.

Pakistan is expected to host the talks.

"We'll have Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, J.D. — maybe J.D., I don't know. Security concerns," Trump said.

Vance's office has not yet commented on whether he will participate in the negotiations.
