Kyiv • UNN
Ukrainian Railways Cargo Poland, a division of Ukrzaliznytsia, has received a rail transportation license from the Polish Railways Administration, allowing it to provide cross-border transportation services between Ukraine and Poland.

The Polish Railways Authority has issued a license for rail transportation to Ukrainian Railways Cargo Poland, a division of Ukrzaliznytsia. This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia, UNN reports.
We continue to work systematically on the European integration of the railway and the development of international services. Obtaining the license is another step towards creating a full-fledged international railway operator that will be able to offer its customers a single cross-border transportation service. We are also working on the development and approval of new international routes
At the initial stage of its operations, Ukrainian Railways Cargo Poland will focus on increasing cargo transportation across the Ukrainian-Polish border. This will provide Polish and Ukrainian shippers with the opportunity to receive comprehensive door-to-door transportation services from one operator, avoiding the need to conclude separate contracts with different companies.
In addition, in the future the company plans to use rolling stock adapted for both 1435 mm and 1520 mm gauge, which will cover all border crossings with Poland. Ukrainian Railways Cargo Poland is scheduled to start providing full-scale integrated transportation services next year.
