Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken announced that a Ukrainian unit will take part in the parade on July 21 for the first time in history. Previously, Ukrainian military participated in the Bastille Day parade on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.

He also said that the other day, in a conversation with WSJ journalists, he discussed "the future of war and the lessons learned from Ukraine."
"NATO must be ready for the war of tomorrow. This means faster adaptation, innovation, and integration of the transatlantic defense-industrial base," said the head of the Belgian government.
