In Sumy region, the Defense Forces stopped a new attempt by an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group to cross the border of Ukraine. This was reported by the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration Volodymyr Artyukh on the air of "We are Ukraine", UNN reports.

According to him, the number of enemy attacks has increased significantly - now more than 40 air raids can be heard per day.

"The number of air raids has increased significantly in recent days. On average, it amounts to 40 or more air alerts per day in the region. We did not have such indicators, the intensity of raids and shelling has increased significantly," he said.

Artyukh noted that the city authorities have prepared for possible enemy actions.

"We have prepared protective structures and increased their number. Of course, the shelling is causing internally displaced people to leave the region. We expect the situation to improve. The armed forces are actively defending the border and the air. Today, a subversive group entered the north of the region again. They were destroyed by our Defense Forces due to active counteraction. Our security forces are preventing the enemy from entering our territory. This week, combined strikes were launched against radio and television systems. The state leadership has set a task to speed up the restoration. In the near future, most of these radio equipment will be restored thanks to the actions of technical personnel," he said.
