Ukraine's beach soccer team played the last match of the group round in the Euroleague 2024 in Division B in Batumi, Georgia. Ukraine won 5-2 and took first place in Group B, the Ukrainian Football Association reported, UNN reports.

In the two previous matches, Mykola Kostenko's team defeated Lebanon (6:1) and Saudi Arabia (6:1) and won the right to play in the semifinals of the Euroleague 2024. Today's match with the United Arab Emirates, which also won two victories in Group B, determined the winner of our quartet.
The first period was an evenly contested affair with plenty of chances for both teams. In the 6th minute, Andriy Potapov scored a great low shot from the middle of the field, and the Ukrainians took the lead. However, a minute later, Walid Besr scored an equally spectacular goal to level the score. Moreover, in the last minute of the period, our opponent was awarded a penalty kick, which Ahmed Beshr easily converted - 1: 2.
At the beginning of the second 12 minutes, the referee awarded a penalty kick to the UAE, and Dmytro Voitenko also demonstrated his skill in its execution. But the 15th minute was especially successful for the blue and yellows. First, Oleg Shchytnyk closed the far post, and then Maksym Voitok pleased the audience with a bisiclet - 4: 2.
In the third period, the Ukrainians managed to increase their lead. In the 28th minute, Ihor Levchenko threw the Emirati goalkeeper over from the center area. Thus, Ukraine won with a score of 5:2 and took first place in Group B.
