The head of the Polish government welcomed Volodymyr Zelenskyy's decision regarding relations between the two states. Poland is ready for a serious and friendly dialogue with Ukraine on issues that unite and divide.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk positively responded to the steps of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding dialogue between the two countries. This is reported by UNN with reference to a post by Tusk on social media X.

I welcome with satisfaction and hope the words and decisions of Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding relations between our states, which should be based on mutual respect and truth. We are ready for serious and friendly dialogue on issues that unite us and those that currently divide us
Context
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to intensify contacts with Poland. In particular, Ukraine:
- will open all archives of the SBU and the Foreign Intelligence Service
regarding the tragic events of the 20th century in Volyn;
- will grant more permits for the continuation of search and
exhumation works;
- will ensure greater capacity for conducting these
works.
Reminder
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reacted to the adoption by the Polish Sejm of another resolution on the anniversary of the tragic events in Volyn of 1943–1944. The ministry emphasized the need to continue constructive dialogue and joint work on establishing historical truth.
