Traffic to be restricted at the "Solotvyno" checkpoint on the border with Romania – what you need to know

From June 8 to June 17, 2026, vehicle traffic at the Solotvyno checkpoint will be restricted due to bridge repairs. Pedestrians will be able to cross the border with Romania without changes.
Ukrainians have been warned about the temporary suspension of vehicle passage through the "Solotvyno – Sighetu Marmației" checkpoint on the border with Romania, as reported by the State Customs Service on Friday, UNN writes.
According to the Romanian side, due to infrastructure works on the historic bridge over the Tisa River, from June 8 to June 17, 2026, between 09:00 and 16:00, the movement of vehicles through the "Solotvyno – Sighetu Marmației" checkpoint will be temporarily suspended,
At the same time, during the specified period, the passage of pedestrians will reportedly be carried out as usual.
Travelers and carriers are asked to take this information into account when planning trips and, if necessary, choose alternative routes for crossing the Ukrainian-Romanian border.
