"Today's car bombing in Sevastopol of the Chief of Staff of the 41st Brigade of Missile Ships and Boats of the Black Sea Fleet Valery Trankovsky is a successful special operation of the SBU. As a result of the explosion, the Russian captain's legs were blown off and he died of blood loss," the source told UNN.
According to an interlocutor of UNN , Trankovsky is a war criminal who ordered the launch of cruise missiles from the Black Sea at civilian targets in Ukraine. In particular, he shelled Vinnytsia with Kalibr in July 2022. Then 29 civilians were killed. "The bastard also repeatedly shelled Odesa and other peaceful cities, killing many civilians. He was an absolutely legitimate target from the point of view of the laws and customs of warfare," the source said.
Russian websites say that Trankovsky was under surveillance for about a week, and that the improvised explosive device was detonated remotely.
"It is symbolic that a Russian war criminal with the blood of dozens of Ukrainian civilians on his hands ended his ignominious life on Taras Shevchenko Street in Sevastopol. It is only a matter of time before the atrocity is paid for. No occupier and murderer can feel safe wherever he is," an SBU source emphasized.
