Details
It is noted that in the destructive content, the attacker "substantiated" his hatred for members of the Jewish community and also talked about "ways" to physically abuse them.
The defendant committed criminal acts while already having the status of a suspect in the case of justifying Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. The SBU exposed him in March 2023.
At that time, the court did not impose a measure of restraint in the form of detention. Therefore, the defendant continued his subversive activities in favor of the aggressor country, calling for religious hatred.
With provocative statements, he tried to destabilize the internal situation in the border region and artificially spoil Ukraine's image in the international arena.
The SBU-initiated examination confirmed the facts of the criminal actions. Based on the collected evidence, he was served a notice of suspicion under Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (incitement to national, regional, racial or religious hatred and enmity).
The offender faces up to 5 years in prison.
