U.S. President Donald Trump stated that if there had been a secure ballroom on the White House grounds, yesterday's shooting would not have happened. He wrote about this on the Truth Social network, UNN reports.
What happened last night is exactly the reason why our great military, Secret Service, law enforcement, and, for various reasons, every president for the last 150 years has demanded the construction of a large, safe, and secure ballroom on the White House grounds,
He noted that the ballroom "cannot be built fast enough" and recalled a lawsuit against the construction, calling it "absurd."
"Nothing should stand in the way of construction that is being carried out under budget and well ahead of schedule," Trump stated.
