The President of Romania allows for the expulsion of the Russian ambassador in case of repeated drone incidents
Kyiv • UNN
The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, suggests the expulsion of the Russian ambassador due to the drone crash in Galați. Previously, the country had already closed the Russian consulate in Constanța.

Romanian President Nicușor Dan did not rule out the expulsion of the Russian ambassador in the event of new incidents involving Russian strike drones that enter the country's airspace during attacks on Ukraine. Nicușor Dan told this to BBC journalists, UNN reports.
Details
According to Dan, Romania has no doubt that a Russian "Geran-2" type drone fell on a house in Galați on May 29. Romanian specialists had an intact device as a sample, which had previously fallen on Romanian territory and did not detonate, and were able to compare the debris found in Galați with it.
Responding to a question about whether Romania is considering other measures in response to the Galați incident, besides closing the Russian consulate in Constanța and expelling the consul, Dan noted: "I hope they (the Russians - ed.) will stop. If not, there are other measures that can be taken. For example, the expulsion of the ambassador. There is a certain hierarchy of diplomatic measures."
