Ukraine is discussing with its partners the issue of lowering the mobilization age, but this is not a point of tension in the negotiations. The Foreign Ministry notes the lack of weapons for those already mobilized, and not the need for additional mobilization.

However, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry cannot say that this topic was the subject of disagreements or tension during the negotiations. This was stated by the press secretary of the Ministry of foreign affairs Georgy Tihy, reports UNN.
When asked by a journalist What is Ukraine's position on lowering the mobilization age to 18, and whether this issue has been discussed with the White House and other Western partners, Tihy said:
"I can confirm that this topic is being discussed at the talks. I can refute the claim that this is a point of tension or that it is being discussed in a critical or negative way. Yes, we are discussing this topic, and I would say that Ukraine usually initiates this discussion in our negotiations, and we inform our partners about the dynamics and amount of mobilization that exists in Ukraine. And then we discuss it with our partners.
This is part of the discussion, as are other topics such as arms provision, strategy, Defense, sanctions, deterrence, and some other topics. So this is discussed along with other topics. I would not say that I have seen or seen the price of negotiations become the subject of controversy or tension. So I can refute that.
Now there is a situation in Ukraine when we do not have enough appropriate weapons and equipment to equip already mobilized people. Therefore, when we read those sources that say that Ukraine needs to mobilize more and that this is kind of the main problem, we don't think so.
