EU allocates another €1 billion to Ukraine for drones

The European Union is allocating Ukraine the next tranche of military aid in the amount of 1 billion euros for the purchase of drones under the Ukraine Support Loan for 2026-2027. This was announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv, reports UNN

Our loan to support Ukraine in the amount of 90 billion euros is fully operational. More of this loan will go to the defense industry

- said von der Leyen.

She recalled that on June 30, the EU allocated the first tranche of military aid for drones in the amount of 4 billion euros.

Today I want to announce a new disbursement of another 1 billion euros – specifically for drones

- added von der Leyen.
