The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Korean company KG Mobility Corp (SsangYong) for the purchase of vehicles, including pickup trucks, for the Armed Forces of Ukraine without paying excise, customs duty and VAT.

"The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense and the Korean company KG Mobility Corp (SsangYong) have signed a memorandum of cooperation in the purchase of vehicles for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.  This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, UNN writes.

Details

It is noted that the agency has already developed proposals for amendments to the legislation that will allow the purchase of pickup trucks and other goods necessary for the needs of the Armed Forces without paying excise, customs duties and VAT.

The company plans to sign several direct agreements with the largest pickup truck manufacturers to diversify risks and ensure the best price offers.

For effective procurement of pickup trucks, it is important to establish direct cooperation with manufacturers. The absence of additional intermediaries in the contract will allow us to get the most favorable prices and provide the military with more vehicles
