Stefanchuk thanked Canada for its unwavering support for Ukraine.
"We constantly feel Canada's political support on international platforms. Ukraine appreciates it. The main thing we discussed was further defense, financial, and humanitarian assistance, given that Russia continues its terror, killing Ukrainian civilians and destroying civilian infrastructure. I appreciate Canada's readiness to continue military and financial assistance as long as necessary - until Ukraine's victory," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada said.
In addition, during the meeting, Stefanchuk and Fergus discussed inter-parliamentary cooperation and joint work on international platforms.
"I invited my colleague to visit Kyiv and offered to consider the possibility of the Parliament of Canada taking patronage over the restoration of one of the destroyed civilian infrastructure facilities," the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada summarized.
