SpaceX will build gas-fired power plants and battery systems for the Terafab facility in Texas. The $16.8 billion project will create 3,000 jobs.

SpaceX will provide its own power generation for the future Terafab semiconductor manufacturing plant being built in Texas together with Tesla. Bloomberg reports, according to UNN.
Details
To power the facility, the company plans to build natural gas-fired power plants and large-scale battery energy storage systems. SpaceX Head of Energy and Data Center Development Riley Tretter said this during a public hearing in Grimes County.
We use our own energy. We are going to build natural gas-fired power plants and very large arrays of batteries to store energy
The project is valued at $16.8 billion
According to Bloomberg, the Terafab plant will be built in Grimes County. The first phase of the project is estimated to cost $16.8 billion, and once operational, it is expected to create about 3,000 new jobs. The construction will receive financial support from the Texas Enterprise Fund, which will provide a $30 million grant.
Intel has also joined the project and will provide expertise in chip design, manufacturing, and packaging. The facility is expected to produce chips for humanoid robots and Tesla electric vehicles, as well as specialized semiconductors for the space industry.
