The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the "Kronstadt" naval base of the Russian Baltic Fleet and provided details, UNN reports.

On the night of June 6, Deep Strike units of the Special Operations Forces, together with the SBS and the SBU, struck the "Kronstadt" naval base of the Russian Baltic Fleet, located near Saint Petersburg. Several SOF drones successfully reached their targets. A fire was recorded on the territory of the base,

"Kronstadt," the SOF pointed out, is a symbol of the Russian Navy and a strategic element of the enemy's war machine. The base houses warships, submarines, training centers, repair docks, and shipbuilding facilities.

"After Ukraine destroyed part of Russia's capabilities in the Black Sea, the importance of 'Kronstadt' in ensuring the enemy's military potential increased significantly. But now it is the turn of one of the oldest naval bases of the Russian Federation to burn," the SOF noted.

The distance from the border of Ukraine to the "Kronstadt" naval base is about 1,000 kilometers.

In recent months, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have systematically struck Russian oil refineries and ports on the territory of the Russian Federation at distances of up to 1,700 km. 

According to analysts' assessments, Ukraine mostly uses FP-1 drones manufactured by Fire Point during strikes deep into the Russian Federation.

The strikes on Moscow and the Leningrad region became the most indicative.
