As noted, seismic activity was also felt in the country's capital, Athens, where residents reported aftershocks in several areas, but no damage was reported in the city.

Scientists will closely monitor developments over the next 48 hours to assess seismic activity and determine if further significant tremors may occur, the publication writes.

According to the head of the village of Mantoudi, landslides were recorded at several points along the local road network.

This area has a long history of seismic activity and is considered one of the most earthquake-prone regions in Greece.
