Two soldiers were killed and nine others were injured in an ammunition explosion in Mykolaiv caused by careless overloading.
On April 24, explosions occurred in Mykolaiv, preliminarily due to the detonation of ammunition during careless reloading by military personnel. Two soldiers were killed and two others were injured. In addition, five rescuers who came to eliminate the fire were injured. The State Bureau of Investigation has opened a criminal investigation into violations of the rules for handling weapons. The bureau announced this on Thursday, UNN reports.
The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating criminal proceedings into the circumstances of the explosions in Mykolaiv and the reasons that led to the tragedy.

Reportedly, the explosion killed two soldiers and wounded two others. The cars that were near the epicenter of the explosion also caught fire. While fighting the fire, another explosion occurred, injuring five rescuers who responded to the call.
Currently, the SBI has opened a criminal investigation into violations of the rules for handling weapons (Part 3 of Article 414 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
The Mykolaiv Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region is supervising the proceedings.
