Russia's war against Ukraine is affecting more and more innocent people. This is how German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reacted to the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane, UNN reports.
"Russia's brutal war against Ukraine is affecting more and more innocent people - even outside of Ukraine. This is evidenced by the plane crash in Aktau, which must be fully investigated. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and we wish the injured a speedy recovery," said Scholz.

On December 26, the airline suspended flights to Russia for a week. The decision was announced the day after the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane flying from Baku to Grozny in Kazakhstan.
According to preliminary results, the crash of the Embraer 190 airplane was caused by "external interference," Azerbaijan Airlines said.
Officials of the Russian Federation put forward a version that the cause of the crash over Aktau (Kazakhstan) was a gas cylinder explosion. This position surprised the authorities of Azerbaijan, because the condition of the fuselage of the plane completely negated this version.
