Reportedly, three helicopters were spotted flying over the Dzhankoy district from the direction of the Arabat Spit heading west. The helicopters were Ka 52 and two Mi-8.

Another Russian Mi-8 flew over the Simferopol region from northeast to southwest.

On March 21, a military Mi-8 helicopter crashed near the village of Rovenki in the Belgorod region of Russia, and the pilot was injured.
