Russian troops attacked a civilian man with a drone while he was trading at a market in Kherson. Fortunately, the trader survived. Footage of the drone strike was released by the Kherson regional police. Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded, pointing to a deliberate and systematic Russian strategy, reports UNN.

"These images make your blood run cold and fill your heart with anger. The whole world must see them. This is how Russians 'fight.' They deliberately hunt civilians. The man in the video shows no signs of being a combatant; he is simply trading at a market. Yet for the military of the aggressor country, he is still a target. Fortunately, the 52-year-old resident of Mykolaiv region survived," the post accompanying the video reads.
According to police, the man sustained an explosive injury, shrapnel wounds, and a concussion. Medics are providing the victim with necessary assistance, and law enforcement is taking measures to properly document yet another war crime committed by the army of the aggressor country.
Reaction of the head of Ukraine's MFA
"This barbaric Russian war crime in Kherson demands international condemnation and justice, but thousands of similar crimes never come to public attention. This is a deliberate and systematic Russian strategy. They know exactly what they are doing. The sadist controlling this drone is fully aware that he is aiming at a civilian. This horrific video proves that Russian barbarians will try to repeat their genocidal atrocities in Bucha everywhere they can reach," responded the head of Ukraine's MFA, Andrii Sybiha, on X.
He emphasized that lasting peace requires comprehensive justice for such horrific crimes, a powerful defense and deterrence package for Ukraine, and reliable, guaranteed security.
The police emphasize that if you spot a drone, do not try to film it under any circumstances. "Immediately seek shelter. No footage is worth your life or health!" the post reads.
