59-year-old Naftogaz employee Serhiy Klymenko died in the hospital from injuries sustained during the May 5 attack. The death toll from the strike has risen to four.

Serhiy Klymenko, a 59-year-old Naftogaz employee who was severely wounded during a Russian attack on the Poltava region on the night of May 5, has died in the hospital. This was reported by Naftogaz, according to UNN.

It is noted that Serhiy Klymenko worked as a refrigeration unit operator. He sustained severe injuries during a Russian strike when the occupiers deliberately targeted SES (State Emergency Service) rescuers and Naftogaz employees.
"Doctors fought for his life until the very end. Serhiy underwent many surgeries, but the injuries proved fatal," the company reported.
Following Klymenko's death, the number of Naftogaz employees killed as a result of that attack has risen to four. Previously, Oleksandr Kozin, Yuriy Musiienko, and Mykhailo Dub were killed.
The company added that seven more Naftogaz employees are currently in the hospital.
Naftogaz also reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has killed 324 employees of the Naftogaz Group.
"Sincere condolences to Serhiy's family, loved ones, and colleagues," the statement reads.
