The spokesman for the State Border Guard Service stated that there are no large Russian forces or infantry for a repeated offensive. Intelligence is monitoring the situation and is not recording any build-up of units.
As of now, Russia does not maintain large forces on the territory of Belarus, including infantry units, that could carry out a repeated invasion from the territory of Belarus. No troop movements are recorded on the territory of Belarus. This was stated by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko, on the air of the telethon, as reported by UNN.
If we talk about the border line with Belarus, fortunately, there have been no changes in the situation in the immediate vicinity of our defensive line. According to him, intelligence units, the Ministry of Defense, and the State Border Guard Service are closely monitoring what is happening on the territory of Belarus to respond promptly to any challenges and threats.
One cannot rule out some provocative actions aimed at drawing our forces to this direction from more important ones, where large-scale hostilities are ongoing. We are monitoring, we will react to all challenges coming from the territory of Belarus, and we continue to hold this direction.
He noted that there is no troop buildup near the Ukrainian border with Belarus.
There is no troop buildup. Since 2022, Belarus has maintained its units in certain directions; at that time, they stated that this was to strengthen their security, as they expected some actions from Ukraine, although Ukraine has never threatened Belarus and does not plan to take such actions.
