The Russian Defense Ministry announced the exchange of 150 prisoners from each side with the mediation of the UAE. The Ukrainian side has not yet confirmed this information.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced the exchange of prisoners with Ukraine in the format of 150 for 150, UNN reports.
"On December 30, as a result of the negotiation process... 150 Russian servicemen were returned. In return, 150 prisoners of war were handed over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the statement said.
In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry added that "the United Arab Emirates provided humanitarian mediation efforts during the return of Russian servicemen from captivity.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry or the General Staff have not yet confirmed the information from the Russian side.
