Ukraine's government plans to expand rail and road connections with Poland by opening a new border crossing point, and to set up a commission with Moldova to build a bridge across the Dniester.
Ukraine is intensifying the development of its border infrastructure, planning to expand transportation links with neighboring countries. In particular, under an agreement with Poland, rail and road connections will be increased. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting on Tuesday, UNN reports.
On the border with Poland, in accordance with the signed security agreement, we will expand rail and road connections. In particular, we will open another railway checkpoint "Nyzhankovychi - Malkhovychi"
On the border with Moldova, a systematic upgrade of checkpoints is underway with the support of USAID and the European Union.
Today, we are making a decision to establish a joint Ukrainian-Moldovan commission to build a bridge across the Dniester in the Yampil-Kosuce region. This will be a key link in the transportation corridor between Kyiv and Chisinau
