The Verkhovna Rada is set to complete the consideration of amendments to the draft law on the taxation of digital platforms today and put it to a vote; overall, it has an "ambitious" agenda, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported on social media on Tuesday, UNN writes.

"Today, the Rada is to complete the consideration of amendments to the draft law on the taxation of electronic platforms. And it will calmly vote for it in the second reading," Zheleznyak wrote.

"And not because it is a requirement of the IMF or the EU, or because the President persuaded someone there. But simply because the preparation of the text was approached with a head and reason. From an absolutely unacceptable document, they made a fairly good law. Which was supported by a large number of business associations and experts. The main thing is that the law in this form will improve regulation in Ukraine. The tax is lower — administration is simpler. And you won't believe it, but the IMF also agreed with this version and supported it," the MP noted.

Moreover, he indicated, "today after the Conciliation Council, the parliament's plans for this Tuesday have become significantly more ambitious."

"In addition to the taxation of platforms and the budget, they also placed a fairly large number of draft laws from the Ukraine Facility and the World Bank between them," Zheleznyak noted.
