Property tax in Ukraine brought 14% more than last year - which regions are leaders

Property owners paid 14.5% more taxes compared to last year. Kyiv became the leader in payments, providing 20% of the total amount.
Property tax payments in Ukraine have increased by almost 14.5% since the beginning of the year, reaching UAH 2.9 billion, compared to the same period last year, according to data from the State Tax Service, UNN reports.
In the first quarter of 2026, property owners paid UAH 2.9 billion in property tax, excluding land. This is 14.5% more than in the same period last year. An additional UAH 370 million was received.
The largest revenues, as indicated, were traditionally provided by economically active regions.
Kyiv became the leader with UAH 596.2 million. In fact, taxpayers in Kyiv paid one-fifth (20%) of the total amount of tax paid.
The budgets of the following regions also received the largest contributions:
- Kyiv region – UAH 318.3 million;
- Lviv region – UAH 292.4 million;
- Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 283.5 million.
Taxpayers of real estate are individuals and legal entities, including non-residents, who are owners of residential or non-residential real estate.
