Russia's war in Ukraine is approaching a "point of no return" with consequences for European countries, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal believes.

Russia's war in Ukraine is approaching a "point of no return," and no country will be left unaffected. The EU  must maintain its unity. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in an interview with Euractiv, UNN reports.

"We are passing the point of no return," Shmyhal said when asked about his assessment of the current situation.

He also added that "no country will be left untouched" if there is no just outcome to the war.

"Russian President Vladimir Putin is counting on the destruction of our unity - we must disappoint him and remain united as long as it takes to win this war," Shmyhal said, emphasizing the need to "save the unity of the EU, within Ukraine and within the EU member states.

According to the publication, EU leaders are expected to discuss further long-term military assistance to Kyiv and hold strategic debates on how they see the trajectory of Russia's war in Ukraine.

The head of the European Union's diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that the outcome of Russia's war against Ukraine will be decided this year, in the spring and summer.
