The SBU announced the conviction of three pro-Russian agitators in different regions of Ukraine. They received 3 to 5 years in prison for supporting Russian aggression and spreading Kremlin propaganda.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, three more pro-Kremlin agitators in different regions of Ukraine received real prison terms. This was reported by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine, UNN reports .

The attackers praised Putin and supported Russia's war against our country. They also glorified the war crimes of racists,

In Cherkasy:

A deputy of the city council, former head of the local faction of the OPFL, who imposed Kremlin propaganda fakes on others, was sentenced to 5 years in prison.

According to the investigation, the deputy called Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine an "internal civil conflict." He also denied Russian air strikes on the civilian infrastructure of our country, including in Cherkasy. In the event of the seizure of the region, the official hoped to become a local Gauleiter of the Russian Federation.

However, feeling the inevitability of justice, the MP decided to flee abroad. The SBU exposed the offender in advance and detained him on the eve of his departure from Ukraine in early August 2022.

In Kirovograd region:

An internally displaced person from Donetsk region was sentenced to 3 years in prison for posting on Odnoklassniki in support of the Russian occupation groups and the Russian "volunteers" who help them.

In Khmelnytsky region:

A hostile agitator who distributed a newspaper of the "l/dnr" terrorist organizations called "novorossiya" among his friends was sentenced to 5 years in prison. According to the investigation, the offender received the pro-Kremlin publication via a courier from temporarily occupied Donetsk before the outbreak of full-scale war.

Based on the SBU materials, the court found the offenders guilty under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  • ч. 1 Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine);
  • chs. 1, 3, Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition of the legitimacy, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
