Details
According to the law enforcement officer, on April 18, he and a colleague received a call about hooliganism.
We were driving from Lobanovskyi, approached Demiyivska. We heard people screaming, and we heard someone shooting there. We stopped near house 35, approached the security guard, and asked where the shots had come from. Approaching the entrance, we saw a terrible scene. There were seriously wounded people lying there - a man and a woman. A child was kneeling - she had a gunshot wound. I told my partner to stay with the child. At that time, as we were walking to the entrance, I had already radioed the operational duty officer that ambulances were needed, because I understood that there had been shooting and help would be needed. Approaching there, the shooter was not there. There were no armed people. There were people near the entrance. They were asking for help, asking to call an ambulance
According to him, he gave his tablet and keys to the service car to his partner and told her to run for the first aid kit to help people.
At that moment, I again took the radio to report to the duty officer that we had seriously wounded people and needed additional crews, when a person with an automatic rifle suddenly came out of the entrance, bypassed them, pointed the weapon at me, and began to fire aimed shots. I started to retreat to find cover. As I was retreating, I was being fired upon. Having found cover, I took all measures to identify the attacker and neutralize him
