Over 90% of mobilization deferrals are now extended automatically – Ministry of Defense

Over 90% of mobilization deferrals are now extended automatically. This is reported by UNN with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Details

As noted by the department, those citizens whose data requires personal updating can now submit an application for a deferral extension through any convenient Administrative Services Center.

At the same time, Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers no longer accept such applications from citizens.

            • Parents raising a seriously ill child without a disability;
              • Parents of an adult child with a Group I or II disability;
                • Those caring for a seriously ill family member;
                  • Guardians of a person declared incapacitated;

                            • Women and men of the military with a child;
                              • Students, postgraduate students;
                                • Employees of higher and vocational education;
                                  • School teachers;
                                    • People whose close relatives died or went missing during combat operations or martial law;
                                      • Relatives of Heroes of Ukraine, awarded posthumously for courage during the Revolution of Dignity;
                                        • People deprived of liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine;
                                          • Military personnel released from captivity;
                                            • People after a one-year contract aged 18–25.

                                              However, the automatic deferral extension system may not work. This usually happens with the following categories of people:

                                              • those who have a father or mother with a Group I or II disability;
                                                • those caring for a seriously ill family member;
                                                  • parents of three and more children.

                                                    In such cases, to extend the deferral, it is necessary to personally apply to any convenient Administrative Services Center with the relevant documents

                                                     - the Ministry of Defense stated.

                                                    Recall

                                                    In Ukraine, it is proposed to change the approach to the reservation of persons liable for military service and to legislatively consolidate the same rules for all categories of persons who can receive a deferral from mobilization.
