Outage schedules and imports from 5 countries amid shortages: situation in the power system

The Ukrainian power grid remains in a significant power deficit after 12 massive attacks by Russia. To compensate for the deficit, electricity is imported from 5 countries in the total amount of 21,226 MWh.
The level of electricity consumption in Ukraine today corresponds to seasonal indicators, a significant power deficit remains in the power system, blackout schedules are applied, the need for economical consumption remains throughout the day, NPC Ukrenergo reported on Monday, UNN reports.
Consumption
Consumption is in line with seasonal indicators. Today, on December 16, as of 6:00 a.m., its level was 1.5% higher than at this time on the previous business day - Friday, December 13.
Yesterday, December 15, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 2.8% lower than the previous day's maximum on Saturday, December 14.
As indicated, the Ukrainian power system continues to recover from twelve massive Russian attacks since the beginning of this year, and there is a significant power shortage. Emergency repairs are underway at power facilities, which means that hourly blackouts for household consumers and power limitation schedules for industry and business are being forced.
The situation in the power system is changing, and accordingly, changes in the application of restrictive measures are possible, the NPC said.
Import
It will be supplied throughout the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 21,226 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 1,142 MW in some hours.
Situation at ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 14.10 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant, the Ministry of Energy said.
